I think this has been the most productive Saturday I've ever had. I was actually awake at 10am, this is a complete miracle, usually if I have no reason to wake up I'll stay in bed until at least 1!
First, Tony and I spent a whole 45 minutes washing up! I have to admit, I didn't even know it was that bad. I'm a little bit ashamed. Our counter tops are so tiny I don't even know how on earth it all fit on there in the first place. I've done at least 3 loads of washing and drying and put the clean clothes away and tidied the whole house. And on top of all that I made some lovely, lovely tomato soup as of this recipe - Tomato Soup - from a very good student's food blog that my friend writes.
I learned a few things today too:
1. I cannot wash bright colourful orangey-red beach towels with white hand towels. They will go pink.
2. Peeling potatoes over a bin is really stupid. The potatoes will slip out of your hands, fall into the bin and be rendered completely useless.
3. There is literally no way of blending soup, without a blender.
