I should never have played with the layout so much before, I give a thumbs up to the follow widget.
It's such a nice feeling seeing your little faces all smiling happily at me. I feel like Bilbo Baggins with all my tiny little hobbit friends. Minus the hairy feet of course.
Yesterday someone asked me what my favourite colour is. That's easy.
I realised I haven't been asked my favourite colour for such a long time. It was always one of the essential criteria everyone had to know about any new friends back in primary school. If your favourite colour wasn't cool, you weren't cool. Now, no one really gives a hoot... as far as I can tell anyways.
I was a bit of an extremist as a child. I was anti-pink. I think every single girl in my class had their favourite colour as pink for a least a few years of school. I decided that, purely on principal, I would dislike anything pink. Clearly I was quite a head strong, opinionated young woman. Honestly, I don't know when I became so boring.
So one day I made a list of all the colours that girls disliked the most and chose one to be my favourite. I chose green, and it stuck completely. I still love green. My anarchism actually turned into a genuine preference, I don't dislike pink anymore I just don't go gaga over it.
Then, today I was casually perusing my washing basket to see what needed to be washed and I managed to fill almost a whole washing machine load of pink clothes. O.O
When did this occur?
There's a dress, shoes, slippers, a hoodie, three t-shirts, a cardigan, a jumper, two skirts and a scarf...
I have a theory as to how this might have occurred, being a poor student I often kindly allow my mother to pay for my clothes ;) Whenever I see something I like (in green) she'll steer me towards a colour that "suits my skin tone more". Apparently it's pink. Conspiracy? I think so.
