Fresh Start!

Yep, we certainly do!

I had my funky little face growth removed about two weeks ago and I'm still sitting around waiting for the results of the biopsy. Yay for bank holiday weekends and lazy receptionists!

As you can probably see I've gone for a major blog revamp - yet again. I'm totally loving this one, I think I might have finally found something I'm happy with. Please have fun exploring and if you have any questions, comments or suggestions leave a comment! :)

I need to apologise too for my complete and utter lack of blogging over the last few weeks and my severe deterioration in things to say. A variety of things have caused the lack of blogging, actually the same things that have made me decide to take a massive left (or right) turn in my ramblings, but more about that on another day.

I've always had mad love for Asian culture and I've recently been coming across more and more Asian and Asian themed YouTubers and bloggers in my internet travels. About the same time I realised I've been letting my interests dwindle and have been sort of uninterested in everything. So I've decided to show a bit more interest in the things I love! I might even compile a bit of a checklist of things I'm going to do more of/show more interest in. Like visiting the Chinese supermarket and satisfying my insatiable Asian snack cravings more often (^.^)

Maybe you're wondering about the new title? This blog is going to be a year old in August and up until now I still hadn't really thought of a title that I really loved. Lack of inspiration, I guess I've been reading a lot less recently, that's where all my imagination used to come from! So to explain I guess I need to explain a little more about me...

Friends and readers of previous posts will know that I'm blessed with a boyfriend who lives in the BVI (A tiny chain of british territory islands in the Caribbean). I've visited three times so far - last Christmas and the past two summers - and I absolutely love it. I'm almost counting down the days until uni is over so I can move my ass out to paradise. Every time I think about it, I know I'll miss a hell of a lot about the UK and even though it's going to be at least three years before I get to move away it really doesn't seem like enough time for me do everything I want to do here before I go. Although I'm sure I'll be coming back often it will more than likely be to visit family.

For pretty much as long as I can remember I've been the sort of English homegirl that swore I'd never leave the UK, if I was going to move anywhere permanently it would be Scotland or somewhere in the English countryside. Then the BVI happened. I never thought anywhere in the world could sway me over Britain and it's beautiful landscapes but "Natures Little Secrets" have got me by the collar and really won't let me go. It's the strangest feeling and kind of hard to explain, but I really feel like I belong there, like I was born in the wrong place. Plus Tortola is a British island, so I'm only sort of half leaving the UK (^.^)

So, let's call me an "aspiring island girl", hence the blog name! :)

  1. You should be proud of yourself to be able to change as that is so often a fear to overcome. And change should always be welcome:) you can never know where life is going to take you but Paradise has got to be all right! Much love, your Duchess.

  2. Thanks Ms Duchess :) Happy Easter! <3

Thanks for stopping by! ♥
