Geeky Game Corner: Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Nintendo 3DS

I have having the most hectic week, but I've taken a five minute breather to tell you about a game that I really enjoyed playing on my Nintendo 3DS.

I'm still a big kid so I get really excited when I see there's a new Lego game to play, just as I did when Lego Pirates of the Caribbean came out (and Lego Harry Potter years 1-4 and also yesterday when I found of Lego Harry Potter years 5-7 is out next month!).

I was a little disappointed with Lego POTC but I can give it some slack because it was released as one of the first games to showcase the talents of the new 3DS, quite understandably they focused a lot on the 3D aspect, rather than the gameplay.

Though the game covers all four movies, I found the story really short and slightly uneventful. It's still a lot of fun to play though. I have also heard from a few people that the non-handheld console version has a great story and a lot of puzzles.

My favourite thing about Lego games is how fun and easy they are to play, they're definitely great to grab and play when you don't have much time. The 3D aspect of this game is really good too, I tend to play with the 3D turned down really low because it makes me go cross eyed after a while, but I do like to play it with the full 3D sometimes and it's really cool to immerse yourself right into the game.

I definitely recommend this is you're a lover of handhelds!
