Christmas TAG!

Hello my dears, I hope you're all having a lovely week-before-Christmas. Only two more sleeps! I've been having a busy week seeing family, doing last minute Christmas shopping and getting in a cheeky bit of revision every now and then too. That's why I've been a bit naughty and not posted very much :(

I've seen this a huge number of times over the last few weeks and now I'm finally getting round to completing it for myself. If you do this please leave your links below :)

Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

I've never tried Egg Nog actually, though I'd really like to. So I'll have to say hot choc, even better if it's from Belgium. Nom.

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Everyone knows the elves wrap the pressies and Santa delivers them ;)

Coloured lights on tree/house or white?
White. I think coloured ones look a wee bit tacky.

Do you hang mistletoe?
No - even if I did it wouldn't matter, since Tony is half the world away :(

When do you put your decorations up?
We're very traditional and I really believe in keeping a bit of the old meanings and traditions when it comes to Christmas, so we put ours up on the 12th December (it's bad luck and earlier or later!)

What is your favourite holiday dish?
I definitely look forward to Christmas turkey roast with all the trimmings. Love me some stuffing :P

Favourite Holiday memory as a child?
I'm not sure how I can choose - probably any year that it snowed on Christmas, and of course when I used to believe in Santa Christmas was way more magical!

When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I honestly don't really know. I think I just kind of figured it out, I was quite logically minded as a child and I often went investigating things that didn't quite make sense. I still listened out for the reindeer on the roof for years after, just in case I'd got it wrong!!

Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
No, but I have a lot of friends that are German and they get to open all of their presents on Christmas Eve! Even though I'm really impatient, Christmas is something I can always wait for.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
We have a huge box of decorations that we've had for as long as I can remember. Lots of pretty baubles, chocolates, stars, feathery birds, tinsel, musical lights and crackers! The works!!

Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Probably one of my favourite things about winter by far.

Can you ice skate?
Yeah, I used to go all the time.

Do you remember your favourite gift?
Oh my that's hard, probably when I was really young I got this washing mashing that you put little plastic clothes in and turned on, after a bit they'd all fly out and you had to catch them. Loved that :D

What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Spending time with my family and eating lots of food!

What is your favourite Holiday Dessert?
I simply cannot get enough of Christmas pudding with brandy custard. I feel sick thinking about how bad I want some.

What is your favourite holiday tradition?
Icing and decorating our Christmas cake a few days before :)

What tops your tree?
A delicate and very old china angel

Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
I prefer giving to be honest. I've been a pain in the bum for my family the past few Christmasses because I've not had anything worthwhile to add to my Christmas list. To be honest being with my family (and Tony, if I'm lucky) is really enough for me.

Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum?
So yum! I could polish off a whole tub if I got my hands on some :P

Favourite Christmas show?
I love all the Christmas specials, this year I'm most looking forward to the Outnumbered and Doctor Who specials! Also really love the Big Fat Quiz of the Year.

Saddest Christmas Song?
For me, any of the Christmas songs that talk about being with loved ones and all that. Normally I think they're great, just not when Tony has gone home.

What is your favourite christmas song?
Feed the World, love that song loads.
