NOTW: NerdLacquer - Cyance Friction

Today I'm super excited to show you this new nail polish that I've been lusting after for months and finally got as a gift recently. The brand is called NerdLacquer and they're made by a lovely lady who makes her own polish. Her whole range is absolutely stunning and with a name like NerdLacquer you can guess why I like it so much - the polishes have names relating to Doctor Who, Star Wars, Hitchhikers Guide and all sorts of other geeky things! These paints are only available online and were shipped to me from the USA. Her range is SO sought after that her Etsy shop always sells out within a matter of hours of re-stocking!

Now, onto the exciting part! I made a random selection of 4 polishes and this is the first I want to show you. It's called Cyance Friction...
It's a really pretty turquoise colour with extremely fine gold flecks of glitter in which actually shine pink in some lights, which you can hopefully just about see in the photo. There are also little gold hex glitters and green square ones.
The brush is a really nice size and thickness and it applies beautifully. One coat with one stroke was often enough to give full coverage - and no messy edges! I put a second coat on to get a few more glitters out of the pot :)
In the photo I'd already had the polish on for a day and there was practically no wear and tear. I'm currently on day 5 of wearing it and I have one little chip on my thumb and the rest is perfect. Whatever recipe she uses to mix the polish it's an amazing one!!

These paints retail for about $10 or so (~£6.50) with postage costs on top, but they are absolutely more than worth it! Her Etsy shop is currently closed but you can also purchase a limited range of them at Harlow & Co. Look out next Friday for the second in my NerdLacquer series ;)

What do you guys think? ♥

    1. I think I confused people a bit! I meant to say she makes her own, not mixes :( I've changed it now. But yeah - you can buy this stuff called nail base and that's what you need to start making your own polishes :) xxx

    1. I meant to say make not mix :S I only said mix because I know you mix this special paint with something called a nail base and then add the glitter. I was a bit misunderstood :) I think this is what she does for a living xxx

    1. Sorry for the confusion! She doesn't mix together other polish she actually makes a special formula to make her own polish. I should have said make instead :/ I read a post once by a similar nail varnish maker called Lyn and she explained how you can make your own. It's like mxing paint with a special nail base liquid, then you add colour and glitter :) xxx
