Style Something - Pretty Polishes #2

Hello there! How have you fine folks been?  It's Moe again from Five Sixteenths with another cool Style Something post.  Nail polish is totally my thing & I am so glad that I've been able to come up with ideas to share in this series.  I am excited to work through my collection of nail polishes & share with you some creative outcomes!

As the days get warmer here in the States, I am excited to pull out the bright colors, florals, & woven accessories.  But I'm a bright colors girl all throughout the year! I decided to channel this vintage inspired outfit into a floral patterned nail art.  Don't worry about having a steady hand, imperfections make the flowers better.

Orange

Supplies: Base Coat & Top Coat (my fave here), Wet n Wild Shine in Sunny Side Up, & Wet n Wild FastDry in Buffy the Violet Slayer, & a white polish with nail art brush.  If you don't have a nail art brush a really thin brush or a straight pin works fine.

The Process: Apply a base coat then two coats of Sunny Side Up.  Allow all layers to dry.  Then apply a few wobbly circles, they don't need to be perfect.  The imperfections will look like petals!  Once the circles are dry, use the nail art brush to apply the white polish is a shaky-C pattern.  Place a few C patterns on the outline of the circle, & one in the middle to make the petals.  Let the whole thing dry & apply your top coat.  Use on an accent nail or paint a garden on your whole hand!

There you have it! A perfectly floral manicure in bright fun colors.  Use any polish you'd like to create this look.  Try a neutral background or make the flowers in two shades of the same color.  The possibilities are endless!

I hope you're enjoying these polish inspired posts!
