House of Fraser A/W Blogger Style Challenge

Hello lovelies! House of Fraser recently contacted me to let me know about a competition they are running at the moment, giving style bloggers the chance to win £200 of vouchers to spend at House of Fraser!
Autumn/Winter is probably my favourite season when it comes to fashion, I love nothing more than wrapping up in a big snuggly jumper, some thick fluffy socks and a pretty scarf - which is probably why I had so much fun browsing through House of Fraser's new season clothes and putting this outfit together.

This year I'm probably the most clued up I've ever been on what prints and trends are going to be key this season - so I made my choices based on a few designs that have featured prominently on the A/W 2012 runways. I think I could definitely see myself wearing this outfit when I'm back in St Andrews, probably going out for lunch or coffee with friends - followed by a lovely walk down by East Sands wrapped up all cosy in the wooly boots and scarf!

Pied A Terre: Batwing Top - I've already featured a houndstooth print item this month and I'm seriously loving the print - that's why I chose this lovely cozy and soft silk jumper which would be great to wear with thin layers underneath to stay warm.

Warehouse: Bright Geo Shorts - Lots of pink and red hues were seen on the A/W catwalks, and in the spirit of hanging onto the key colour of the summer, I love these coral pink shorts. Prints are also "in" this season and the subtle geometric pattern on these shorts works perfectly for me since I'm not a huge lover of bold and in-your-face designs.

Untold: All Over Floral Lace Tights - Tights are a must for me as soon as the weather turns gloomy (I've even been known to stick tights on under my jeans when it gets chilly!) and I love these pretty lace print ones - they tie in the with the A/W lace trend, one that I'm really happy to see. Lace can look so classy and elegant done right - and with these tights, again, the detail is subtle which is perfect for me!

ASH: Yes Leather Boots - In the winter, I pretty much alternate between my Ugg boots and my Hunter wellies - I love slipping my feet into big fluffy cozy boots! I really like the slight wedge on these ASH boots, as well as the cozy fur lined inside (fur being another key trend this upcoming season!).

NICA: Sophie Quilted Cross Body - I love this little bag, it matches the cute winter boots perfectly and I've always preferred long handled, satchel style bags over shoulder bags. Also, I just noticed that the slightly quilted top of the bag is a little nod to the selection of padded items seen on the A/W catwalks.

Hunter: Single Breasted Waist Tie Pac-A-Mac - I love macintosh style coats in the winter time, and the pinky plum colour of this one is just perfect. It has a hood too, which is super useful for me since I'm always forgetting my umbrella and getting caught in the rain!

Coast: Theresa Short Tassel Wrap - I think this beautiful merlot coloured scarf fits so nicely with the mac and shorts, and I also love the little design on the ends of the scarf.

EAST: Metal Feather Pendant - I've been seeing a lot of pretty necklaces with leaf pendants recently and I've been after getting my hands on one (I know this says feather, but it definitely looks more like a leaf to me!). What better time to be sporting a pretty leaf pendant, than when it's autumn and all the leaves are golden?

Thomas Sabo: Charm Club White Pearl Bracelet - I love to wear pearls and whether it's earrings or a bracelet, you'll probably never see me without them! This Thomas Sabo bracelet is so simple and pretty!

Coast: Florence Earrings - I had to add a bit of sparkle in somewhere! What's not to love about these gorgeous earrings?
