Well hello there!! Wow, Miss Racheal has been so patient with me while I move.....I am so thankful! I am here to day to share with you one of my favorite combinations: Mint & Yellow. A while ago I picked up the perfect mint polish but didn't know what to do with it. I decided just to try it with an off the wall color & boy did I fall in love. I'd also totally pair this with a nice coral too! It's so summery!
Mint is such a bright color it will really stand out against the neutral color of your hand. So, if you're feeling bold...go for it! Like I've said before, I love using nail polish to incorporate a color I am too shy to wear out in public just yet. I don't want all eyes on me as I try to get comfortable pulling off a mint green pair of pants. (Though, my sister recently pulled that style off pretty well. I was impressed!)
For this manicure, I used Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet & a bright neon yellow I got at Icing by Claire's in the mall. You'll need to make sure your yellow is opaque, otherwise you may end up with a gloopy mess when applying two, three, & four coats! Make sure you use your favorite base coat & top coat to make it long lasting. (peep mine here.)
This color combo really turned up the wow factor in the office! Now that I've moved, I am currently jobless...so I don't have anywhere to really test out my polish choices! For now I'll just go sit in coffee shops & work and see if anyone notices my pretty painted nails.
Have you tried an outrageous color combo lately? How did it work?
