Summer Camp

Hey lovelies! Finally, I am getting round to catching up on the rest of my holiday posts - I have still got so much to tell you about from the last few weeks including carnival, Juvert and my birthday still! Eeek!

Hopefully some of you may remember me mentioning that I'd spent a few days a week volunteering at a summer camp during July. I had so much fun looking after the kids - and the best thing about the whole experience was that it 100% confirmed in my mind that I'd like to be a teacher when I'm finally finished with uni! I took quite a few photos over the time I was there, so here's just a few of them!
Playing Duck, Duck, Goose!
Making cornstarch goo!
Learning all about how they make the pretty glass sculptures at GreenVI Glass Blowing Studio
A day trip to the Bowling Alley - some of the kids had never bowled before!
Little Tashi trying on my sunnies!
On the final day of summer school we took a day trip to the pretty Well Bay!

The kids were all so great, but I definitely had my favourites over the few weeks - I even managed to become the girlfriend of a little boy called Nicasio in my last week (much to the amusement of all the other teachers and volunteers). It was really exciting experience for me and so valuable because it meant I got to become familiar with the school I hope to be working at in a year or so time!! :) ♥

  2. Sounds like a great summer, and its great that you are so sure about your career as a teacher! Nothing worse than not being sure about what you are doing at uni haha. The pictures are amazing :)

    1. Yeah I've found that out more than ever recently. Even not being sure what you want to do *within* teaching is proving a total nightmare for applications! x
