5 Autumn Essentials

Autumn is one of the best seasons for dressing up. You get to use your creativity in layering and transition pieces - plus it’s the time when the September issues come out, will all the upcoming trends. So here are the top 5 pieces that you must get this season:

1. The trench coat

Did you actually manage to live without one for all these years? The trench coat is an essential piece in any woman’s wardrobe. Excellent against the wind, sometimes even the rain, the trench coat has the perfect length to cover you up, but it’s still breathable and comfortable. Pick a classic beige if you want a timeless piece, or go for burgundy if you want to be on trend.

2. The round sunglasses

Everyone is wearing them lately! From editors at Fashion Week, to celebrities, to fashion bloggers. Reminiscent of the famous John Lennon shades, they are back in fashion and worn by both men and women. Pick a metallic rim for a classic look, or go for the oversized acetate version if you’re a true fashionista.

3. The ankle boots

The ankle boots are at the line between shoes and boots, so wear them with trust whenever you need to. They look great with skinny jeans, and they look fantastic with dresses! Pick a heeled version to add tome height, or go for flats if you want to stay comfortable all day long.

4. The pencil skirt

Guess who’s back? The pencil skirt is now updated, and it’s no longer reserved for the office. Wild prints and fun combos define it this season. Animal print, florals or at least polka dots or stripes should be on your list this fall. And if you must pick a solid color, make that burgundy or plum, the trendiest hues right now.

5. The tuxedo pants

Not nearly as elegant as a tuxedo, the tuxedo pants are making waves on the streets. Despite their name, they’re actually very comfortable to wear. You’ll recognize them by their lateral vertical stripe, the one that makes your legs look longer. Wear them with heels for the best and most fashionable look.

  1. thanks for sharing..

  2. I love your outfit. I've been eyeing that vest from ON for a while! Also, I agree whole-heartedly about the womens legwear not being pants, so they need to be styled accordingly. I just collect my leather leggings from Stee letas, its really awesome.

  3. Pencil skirts have stolen my heart recently. I need to wear them more.

  4. Fabulous picks! I really want a pair of rounded sunnies made by Karen Walker - the Super Duper frames in black :)
