Where's Rach?

Well hello there friends! I'm very excited to be writing my very first post in nearly two months - even more excited that it's from my spangly new domain name www.justrach.com!

First of all, HELLO to all my new readers who have joined my ever expanding circle of loves over the last few months... I imagine the first question on most of your lips (especially my regulars! Love you guys) is "Where on Earth have you been???" Let me explain...

You may have seen that I've posted various updates on both my Facebook page and Twitter about how stressful my final year is proving to be - I've been having a really tough time and basically had to drop everything (except my uni work) in order to focus on coming out of St Andrews with the degree I intended to! My anxiety got so bad I started to really worry about my health so I've been taking some time over the last few months to make sure I'm not sending myself into a nervous meltdown!

Unfortunately, during this time I started to feel like blogging was a huge chore and I began to feel guilty that I wasn't writing posts and replying to the wonderful comments left by you darling readers. These feelings of guilt built up the longer I left my blogging which just increased the severity of my anxiety. I ended up just completely ignoring it all for the last few months - I'm sorry to all of the emails I've neglected to respond to and all the dear friends who've been wondering where on Earth I've got to. My email inbox has remained unopened and neglected - I had to filter through over 1000 emails when I finally plucked up the courage to open it today, I couldn't believe it.

I am not gone for good. I LOVE blogging and I will not let my workload and anxiety defeat me. My dissertation is due very soon, so for now I will be posting sporadically; perhaps 1/2 posts per week (depending on how hard I'm procrastinating!). Hopefully after my dissertation has been handed in, blogging will resume as normal - and boy I can't wait. I've got SO much to share with you all. Look out for my next post which will be a quick overview of all the things I've been up to since I plopped off the face of the internet for a short while.

I wish I could give each and every one of my readers a giant hug for sticking with me (and even for just clicking that little subscribe button). I truly appreciate every one of you! Hopefully I'll have more exciting things to share with you over the coming months!

xoxo
