Review | Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman your base/flawless core collection

Hello lovelies! Hope you're all doing well :) Today I've got a very exciting review of the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman: Your Base/Flawless Core Collection including a travel case which converts into a handy stand kindly sent to me by LuxeBC.
The set comes with four beautifully soft brushes, each labelled in orange on the handle. The Contour Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Detailer Brush and Buffing Brush.

The case is very durable, though I do think it could definitely be a bit more aesthetically pleasing! It definitely redeems itself by quickly and easily converting into a little stand to store your brushes neatly on your dressing table.

I created a super quick, basic & natural, no-fuss make up look using the detailer brush and the contour brush to show you just what these great brushes are capable of.
Using the detailer brush I was able to create a super neat line around my lips before filling in the centre. I've never used a brush to apply my lipstick before and I always get it all over the place - so I'm extremely pleased that this worked so well. Also, usually this lipstick comes out super bright and thick. Application with the brush allowed for a gorgeous, subtle and perfect-for-daytime coverage.
Next I applied some YSL Touche Eclat highlighter to an otherwise completely make-up free face and used the contour brush to blend it all in.
You can see my face and eyes are definitely a lot lighter and brighter, and there are no lines or obvious edges where the Touche Eclat was applied. I usually just use my fingers to blend this in, but I'm seriously impressed with the effect of the brush.

Have you ever used Real Techniques before?

The most exciting thing of all is that LuxeBC have kindly supplied another Real Techniques Your Base/Flawless Core Collection for me to giveaway to one of you lucky lovelies! Just fill in the rafflecopter form below. Good luck! ♥
