Hello lovelies! Hands up if you love a bit of cake? I definitely do, especially when it's my favourite - carrot cake - om nom nom. I was super excited when BakerDays contacted me to review one of their Letterbox Cakes and when it plopped through my post box I made this tongue-in-cheek advert style video to go with this review. I hope you like it!xoxo
The cake came in a beautiful pale yellow tin, which I will definitely be saving and using again. I have no idea yet what I'll do with it, but it will be great for kitchen storage I'm sure.
Also included in the pack were three colourful balloons, two white candles and a cute little party blower too (which I've been running around the house blowing like a child and annoying my entire family!)
Then, of course, there's the main event. The absolutely delicious cake. First of all, I totally love the quality of the print. I felt so weird eating my own face, even if it was a cartoon version of myself... but after my first bite all cares went out the window because it tasted amazing. It was an incredibly moist and scrumptious cake and the icing was just lovely. Usually I'm not a huge fan because I find icing gets very sickly, very quickly - but this was so great, not too sweet at all. A lovely bit of buttercream sandwiches it all together and basically led to me eating almost the entire cake on my own in one sitting.
This cake comes highly recommended from me (and my belly) - and since it comes through your letterbox, what an amazing way to treat a friend, loved one or even yourself!
Letterbox cakes start at just £14.99 and come pre-made or personalised, in a variety of cake flavours!
