Review: CollageItPro 3

Hello my loves! I've got something a little different for you all today - this post is something to keep on reading if you're a blogger especially because it's a bit of a techy one! Maybe finally my ultimate tech-geek side will come across in this post! :P

Well, I might as well just go ahead and stay it... CollageItPro 3* is my new favourite blogging program! It basically does what it says on the tin - it allows you to make collages with your photos and it works fantastically. I've been using it to make photo collages for Lookbook - check out my latest one HERE.

There are literally tonnes of preset templates that you can use with all kinds of gorgeous backgrounds, layouts and styles - but if you hate the restriction of presets then never fear because it is super easy to do it all yourself.
Auto Mode vs Free Mode

Auto mode is great it allows you to upload your photos straight from your drive (in the left column) and it will automatically arrange them in the template. If you don't like how they look you can hit the random or shuffle buttons at the top to switch them all around until you're happy. There are also tonnes of options to change the margins, borders, spacing, colours, background and even a set of filters you can apply which changes how your whole set of photos looks!

Free mode allows you to do all of these things but you've got complete free reign over the layout design - you can move the photos around and resize them as you please and place them wherever you want them. There are handy guidelines that pop up when you're moving a photo so you can keep everything all lined up.

If you don't want your photos all neatly aligned there are tonnes of options for overlapping and scattered photos too. The possibilities are literally endless!
The final feature I'm going to talk about in this review is the ability to add text to your collages! In the past I've battled with online collage makers like PicMonkey and Polyvore - and while there's no denying these are great free resources - there's nothing like the complete freedom of this fantastic collage program. There are a whole bunch of different styles and fonts of text that you can try out.

CollageIt* can be downloaded for both Mac and Windows for FREE from Pearl Mountain Soft and can be upgraded to the Pro version when you open the program for a mere $19.90 (roughly £12.50) which is a total bargain for what it can do. I highly recommend this product to all bloggers, it's been a total game changer for me!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I won a Pro version of this a few weeks ago but have yet to sit down and properly figure it out. It sounds really good, I need to try and get started with it I think! Thanks for the tips :)
