Review: Champneys Distant Shores Body Butter

I picked up a tub of Champneys Distant Shores Body Butter in the Boots 3 for 2 sale, just before Christmas. I've heard good things about the Champneys brand in general, and was pleasantly surprised that it was only a fiver for a pretty decent sized tub (300ml).

Applying a body butter after a bath or shower is something I rarely remember to do, but since I've picked up this gorgeous stuff I've been remembering a lot more often. It smells absolutely delicious! Bob and I must have spent near to 20 minutes smelling all the different body butters in Boots - this was the only one that actually smelled like anything at all!! The passionfruit and mango extracts are really apparent in the almost citrus fragrance the butter gives off, which stays on your skin for a long time afterwards. It sort of reminds me of the taste of a mango solero ice cream!

In the pictures it looks like a nice creamy butter, but it actually has a bit of a strange almost jelly-like consistency. To the touch it is strangely bouncy and solid in the pot and you have to dig a little to get some out. On your skin though, a little goes a long way and it soaks in beautifully leaving no sticky residue.

This luxurious body butter leaves my skin super soft and smelling delightful for hours - and for the great price I really couldn't ask for more from a product.

Have you tried any Champneys before? What's your favourite body butter?
