Easter is a really great time of year if, like me, you've got a bit (okay, a lot) of a sweet tooth. I love chocolate, and I especially love flavoured chocolates with gooey soft fillings. I recently signed up to TopCashBack and received these Hotel Chocolat Champagne Egglets in the post as a little freebie. I've never tried them before but I'm a huge Hotel Chocolat fan so I couldn't wait to get stuck in.
They come in a pack of 7, 2 dark, 2 classic and 3 pink champagne egglets. The packaging is really lovely (perfect to give to someone as a little Easter gift) and really showed off the gorgeous little eggs. I love how each of the eggs had a HC seal on top and a drizzle of coloured chocolate through the shell. When you bite in you're greeted with a deliciously smooth and soft chocolate filling. Super yum.
I devoured all of the egglets (with a little help from B) within about 2 minutes of opening the packaging. Now, I'm not a huge fan of dark chocolate, in fact I usually avoid it at all costs, but the Dark Champagne egglet was very smooth and not too overpowering. The Classic Champagne had a white soft centre, with a serious zingy champagne kick that really hits you at the back of the throat when you bite into it. It was a really strong and long lasting flavour, that I really wasn't a big fan of. The Pink Champagne egglets though were delicious, they had a very fruity centre with milk chocolate casing. They almost like a strawberry creme - my ultimate favourite. I'm glad that there were three in the pack because it's definitely the one I was left wanting more of!
Overall they were really delicious and I'd highly recommend them as a small Easter gift for your loved one!
If you've got a spare moment I'd love it if you could pop over to the Company magazine style awards and nominate me for Best Personal Style Blog in association with Missguided - it would mean the world to me ♥
