I attended my first fashion blogger event on Saturday! Finally I decided to just jump on the train down to London and see what all of the blogging event hype was about. I attended #LFAReturns at the LOVE Fashion HQ on Great Portland Street.

I caught the train from home at the very early hour of 8am (early for me anyway, especially on a Saturday!) and after a few changes settled in with a cinnamon whirl and vanilla latte for a two hour journey on a very comfortable Virgin train to London Euston. I arrived in London around lunch time and navigated my way around the tube system to Great Portland Street to meet with my dear friend Jade, who I'd invited along to the event with me.

Once we arrived we were ushered in to Love HQ, our coats were whipped off and we made our way over to the very generous spread of drinks and Krispy Kreme goodies that lay out for us to devour. At first we both tried some green coloured juice from Roots and Bulbs which looked beautiful in the bottle but tasted rather like blended salad... I'll let you make your own mind up about whether that's good or bad! After that I opted for a safe and very delicious glass of Gallo Rose accompanied by my first ever Krispy Kreme donut! I chose one with pink, sparkly glazing for my initiation, and it was delicious!

After snapping many silly photos (like a Celfie Selfie!), having a good chatter, giggle and browsing through the gorgeous collection of sample dresses and brand new range on the LOVE website, we settled in for a few speeches from MadPR, eTailPR and Sarah from That Pommie Girl. It was really interesting to hear about their experiences and how they got into their current jobs.

Jade and I chatted to a few other bloggers - it was so lovely to meet both bloggers I've been following for a while and those I'd not come across before. Sarah (That Pommie Girl) and Kirsty (KirstyDoll) were so lovely and we had a great chat about how gorgeous Gerard Butler was (and whether he was English/American/Scottish/Irish!!!). I almost had a mini meltdown when I started chatting to Kayla Hadlington, who's blog I've been following for years - it was less of a chat and more of a fangirl "oh-my-god-I-love-your-blog" moment! We also met and chatted to the lovely Jodie (A La Jode), Tia (BellezzaBabe) and Courtney (CourtzMelv).

Of course I couldn't leave without buying something, in fact - two things! I tried to leave the shop with about 5 items but some of them were just previews of dresses you can pick up on the website, so I sadly had to leave those behind. I walked away with two beautiful dresses, a flamingo print in my favourite blue of the season and a cream floral print with a gorgeous open back.

I had an absolutely amazing day at the event and cannot wait for my next blogging event! Big thanks to Jade for coming along with me and for being my blog photographer for the day!

    1. Thanks Jenny! I'm still learning, definitely, but I'm getting there! Spring prints are my favourites so I'm motivated to try extra hard! X

  2. I have shopped at Loved before, I bought a cream tunic that is gorgeous but a nightmare to get on as its a-symmetrical and I can never do it right. Anyway, I've yet to go to a fashion event, it looks like so much fun. Your pictures really show just how girly and fun it is. Thanks for sharing. #sharefriday

    1. I always find it a total nightmare to get asymmetrical clothes on too, or ones that cross over at the back. I always get tangled up in them! For my first fashion event I definitely slotted right in as if it was my hundredth! I can't wait to go to more now :) X
