I was always that girl who could literally shovel food into her face and not even stop to think about what it was doing to my body - that is until about a year ago, when suddenly it all started to catch up with me. I lived with the naive notion that my metabolism would always be awesome and I'd never have to do exercise (what's that?!). More fool me!
I am by no means overweight - just probably a little lot unhealthy with a few areas where I'd really like to shift some of the tub and replace it with the lovely solid muscles I used to have. I used to sail twice a week and I really didn't consider this exercise, so I never thought about it as being hard work.
I've been trying (poorly) to make an effort to get some exercise done with running, signing up for yoga and toying with the idea of sailing again. To help me with my cause there's nothing quite like a good tune to really get me in the mood. Something that often surprises people is that I'm a huge fan of dubstep and electronic music and there is nothing that makes me want to get on my feet and move more than a Skrillex tune with a nasty drop! I've put together a playlist of my absolute favourites - have a listen and tell me that it doesn't just make you want to get up and get down!!
I've got the motivation (ish) and I've got the tunes - now all I need is to look the part!
New Look's brand spangly new sports range* has come in just perfect to get me started, as well as my trusty Nike trainers and some sports equipment. Check out how seriously I take exercise... ("all the gear and no idea" springs to mind!)
I'm really impressed with New Look's Sportswear range - the clothing is affordable, comfortable and super cute too (I have never felt so great in a crop top, how gorgeous is the back detail!), plus my leggings come with a zip pocket in the bum, which is perfect for my iPod shuffle when I'm running!
I'd love to know what you love to listen to while you work out?
