Sykes Cottages have got this gorgeous little campaign going on called Postcards to the Past where you can create a digital postcard and write to the people in the picture. What a gorgeous way to relive old memories and remember the lovely times that have gone by. I've put my creative hat on and clipped together my own little postcard to the past...
I've always been a shutter bug right from being a wee thing - I used to fill cheap disposables with literally hundreds of pictures and tug on my mum's arm until she'd take me to Boots to have them developed. When I got my first digital cam I treated it like it was the most precious thing on earth. I took it everywhere with me. I have tonnes of memories snapped on hundreds of occasions. Now of course I have a hobby which practically thrives on photography - and I may not be the best at it but I love it. I've got a bridge for blogging, my trusty iPhone, a beautiful Baby Diana F+ Lomography camera and now an adorable little Fujifilm Instax Mini 8* - all of which hold countless priceless memories and I love making more every single day. Just this weekend in fact I've been out snapping away at some National Trust locations - not quite the glam holiday I was hoping for, but still happy memories indeed!
If you'd like to make your own Postcard to the Past, head on over to Sykes Cottages to get started and get ready to get really sentimental - best of all you can send your digital postcard to all your friends and family, just like you would an old one!
Are you a shutterbug too? What advice would you give to your younger self?
